Technical Approvals Z-1.4-50 and Z-1.4-228 extended

This year the extension of our German Technical Approvals Z-1.4-50 for Steel Grade 1.4571 (316 TI) and Z-1.4-228 for Steel Grade 1.4362 (S32304) were due. We are happy to inform you that both certificates have been extended by German authority DIBt until 2022 without any constraints or complaints. Inoxripp4486 available in diameter 14mm as rods and bent components

Due to the expansion of our production lines we are now able to produce our Inoxripp4486 in diameter 14mm as rods (with max. length of 12m) and bent components.

This enables us to offer you cold ripped stainless steel with high ductility (total elongation at maximum force Agt of minimum 5%) and simultaneously high Tensile Strenght (Rm minimum 800 N/mm²) and Yield Strenght (Rp0,2 minimum 700 N/mm²) also in diameter 14mm. Therefore it is a attractive alternative to steel grade 1.4571 (316 TI).

Inoxripp4486 also available in diameter 32mm

We are now able to offer you our Inoxripp4486 in diameter 32mm as hot-rolled rods. This includes stock lengths of 6m or 12m as well as smaller cuttings on demand.

Inoxripp4486 available in diameter 14mm as coil

We are happy to announce that we are now able to produce our Inoxripp4486® also in diameter 14mm as coil. Furthermore we are currently working hard on producing rebars and bending parts in this quality with the aim to provide an euqivalent but more cost-efficient alternative for steel grade 317 TI.

Corrosion resistance class 3 for our Inoxripp4486®

It is expected that in the near future steel grade 1.4482 (S32001) will be included as corrosion resistance class 2 into the EN standard. However this only applies for the standard version of steel grade 1.4482 (S32001) and not for our Inoxripp4486®.
Inoxripp4486® was especially developed as a special chemical composition of steel grade 1.4482 (S32001) to ensure that it is classified as corrosion resistance class 3, also in the future. Furthermore, this classification was explicitly done prior to the application for the federal technical approval since corrosion resistance class 3 is a basic requirement for getting the approval. The corresponding report is available an can be downloaded.
On our request the Material Testing Office North Rhine-Westphalia (BAM NRW) as well as the German Federal Institute for Material Research and Testing in Berlin (DIBt) confirmed that our Inoxripp4486® will stay in corrosion resistance class 3, independant of the classification of the standard version of steel grade 1.4482 (S32001).
